ADULT COMPUTER CLASSES

The Timmins Public Library conducts Adult Computer Classes approximately once every two months. This 6 week program introduces you to the necessary skills to login, create an email, search and find information on the internet and how to use word processing software so that you may create a document.

We will introduce you to the Service Ontario website where you will find many of the forms, guides and instructions to assist you through life's moments.

To sign-up for the classes, please contact the Reference Staff at refdesk@timmins.ca or by calling (705) 360-2623 X8532 or X8537. We are always compiling a waiting list.

Classes are available in both official languages.

OPEN BOOK CLUB

The Timmins Public Library hosts an open book club each month between September and June. We alternate between English and French titles, and each month a library staff member will host a discussion on a book in one of the languages.

All are welcome. While we encourage you to own your own books, the Library will have a number of copies of the chosen title available for borrowing.

  • April 8: World without Us by Alan Weisman
  • May 6: Volkswagen Blues by Jacques Poulin [en français]
  • June 10: Lemon by Cordelia Strube
