As per the Government of Ontario’s May 14th released detailed list of Stage 1 openings, public library services may resume for delivery and pickup as early as May 19, 2020.
While the Timmins Public Library truly appreciates that library services are valued by the community, we are delaying an immediate launch of such services until processes and measures have been fully developed to ensure our staff and patrons’ health and safety during these uncertain times.
Work has begun on procuring necessary supplies, however we are not yet in a position to give an exact date on when this service will roll out.
The Library will continue to keep everyone informed as decisions are made and plans confirmed. We truly miss our patrons and want to ensure they are enjoying our digital resources and services while staying healthy.
Both branches of the Timmins Public Library are currently closed due to Covid-19. We ask that you hold on to any material you currently have checked out and no fines will incur during this time. The Library continues to serve our patrons virtually with eResources (eBooks, eAudio books, eMagazines, movies, databases, etc.) and virtual programming. Visit our Facebook page or website for the most current information.
